A quick newsflash for you. As well as getting my new Etsy shop up-and-running (now open for business for all your greeting card needs!), I haven’t completely forgotten about my writing. I’m pleased to report that one of my flash fiction pieces will be appearing in Flash Fiction Magazine this coming weekend.
Counting the Plates is based loosely on my travels in Japan and features a smorgasbord of Japanese food and drink. Hopefully you will be salivating as you read, eager to head out in search of sake, sushi, and soba noodles.
If you are new to Recycled Words and have arrived here expecting artwork and photography then don’t despair. You can head over to the free art galleries to see examples of my work. Then visit my shop to choose from my range of 100% recycled greeting cards.
As well as an artist, I am also a writer. Success in this area is coming slowly but surely, and I am pleased to say that I have had several short stories published and performed over the last year. More short stories and flash fictions are appearing in the next couple of months, and I will be posting more information about them in this journal as they approach publication.
Where can we read your short stories?
I have published a selection of free short stories and flash fictions here on Recycled Words. You can also visit the Recycled Reads page, to see where else my writing has appeared. I am pleased to report that my work has appeared in magazines, online, on the radio, and even in pubs!
And please keep an eye out on Sunday for the publication of Counting the Plates. I would love to know what you think.
