Guests welcome! Etsy updates their checkout process

Jon Stubbington Artist Illustrator Blog Journal

We’ve all been there. You’ve found the perfect item online, you’ve selected the correct options, and all you want to do is pay for it. But… No… You have to create an account.

It’s the sort of thing that can make you throw down your tablet, lob your laptop, and head to the actual shops instead. After all, you don’t always want to create an account. Sometimes you just want to buy the item.

Good news!

Etsy have updated their checkout processes:

Etsy is making it easier for the millions of people who shop online to discover and purchase products. Now, anyone can browse, add items to their cart and make purchases on Etsy without having to create an account.

Sounds pretty straightforward, but there is an Etsy help page for guest checkouts in case anyone has questions. This new feature will be rolling out across Etsy shops in the coming weeks.

What should you do with this new-found freedom to shop? Get yourself over to my Etsy shop and have a good look around. All are (now!) welcome.

Plus, there’s a sale on!

I am busy preparing a brand new range of cards and prints and I want to free-up some virtual shelf space to show off my new stock. This means that all photo cards and prints must go.

Get 20% off all photo cards and prints until 30 May.
