Jon Stubbington has arrived: same me, different name

Jon Stubbington Artist Illustrator Blog Journal

Big news! The website is moving.

For the last three years, I have been known online as Recycled Words. Admittedly, I have been called other names online, but I’m not able to repeat them for fear of offending sensitive ears.

  • My website was www.recycledwords.co.uk
  • My twitter handle was @recycled_words
  • My facebook page was www.facebook.com/recycledwords.co.uk
  • And my shop was www.RecycledWordsArt.etsy.com

That was then. This is now.

Now, I am stepping out from the shadow of Recycled Words and becoming more me. It’s time to be Jon Stubbington.

What do I need to know?

Here are the key things to be aware of:

What does this mean for me?

  • Pages on www.recycledwords.co.uk should automatically redirect to the new website (or will do soon, depending on when you are reading this)
  • My twitter, instagram, and facebook accounts are still the same – they just have new names
  • My Etsy shop is exactly the same shop – again, it just has a new name
  • If you followed me on twitter and/or instagram, you will still be following me at the new handles
  • If you liked or followed my facebook page, you will still be following me at the new address
  • Links to my old Etsy shop name should redirect to the new Etsy shop name

Why the change?

There are a few reasons for this change, but chief among them is the fact that Recycled Words no longer gave me the freedom to explore all of the creative avenues I want to go down. It grew out of my writing work, and is not really suited to my art and illustration business.

Being me is just a lot simpler.

You can read a little more about this decision on this dedicated page.

What now?

Moving and rebranding has taken up most of the last week and I have to admit that I am itching to get back to my drawing pens. It is time to step away from the keyboard and start drawing again, so watch out for new work in the near future.

Maybe I’ll just go check twitter first, though…
