A few announcements

Subscribers to my (ir)regular email newsletter will have heard this already, but for anyone who does not receive those occasional updates in their inboxes, here are a couple of newsworthy announcements.

Shop downtime

My Etsy shop will be closing its (virtual) doors for a couple of weeks.

The shop will shut on Friday 15 September and will reopen again on Tuesday 3 October.

If you’re after some sustainable cards, an artistic print, or a fantastic photograph or two, then head over to the shop right now and place your orders before I close the doors.

Zero Flash

I am also really pleased to announce that I have joined the roster of illustrators working with the flash fiction website, Zero Flash.

[Zero Flash] is a flash fiction competition and magazine. The winner receives an illustration of their winning piece, a hefty £10 via Paypal, an interview with Uprising Review and an audio performance and recording of their piece. Zero Flash is designed to publish works from some of the most creative people around; to praise and support and give a forum for discussion.

I will be one of the team working on the illustrations to accompany each month’s winning flash fiction story, as well as adhoc illustrations peppered around the site.

Watch out for my work alongside future flash fiction winners.

It’s not yet time to mention the “C” word

Leaves are still on the trees, the sun is (currently, as I write this) shining, so let’s not think about December quite yet.

Having said that, if you are thinking about ordering a thoughtful, special, unique gift for your friends or family this Christmas at some point this year, then it pays to get in early.

I complete my animal, pet, and people portraits as efficiently as I can, but each one is a special, individual piece of art, and the painting and printing process does take some time. Please don’t leave all requests for commissions till the last minute or I may have to disappoint some people.

If you are thinking about ordering a portrait, either for you or as a gift, then let me know as soon as possible, and we will make sure it is ready well before the big day.
