Grenfell: From Today is a charity single in support of the survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire. It was released in June 2018 to commemorate the first anniversary of the disaster and was inspired by the Cornish charity Cornwall Hugs Grenfell, who offer respite holidays to survivors, their families, and to firefighters involved in the fire.

I was asked to create a new version of the illustration I had first created to mark the six month anniversary of the fire. As well as reworking the illustration I also developed the overall design and font choices.
The revised illustration was created in various formats to support the digital release through Universal Music across iTunes, Amazon, Deezer, and other digital music platforms.
A separate version was also created in 16:9 ratio for use within the accompanying video (by Paul Caddis). This was supplied as separate assets, enabling the illustration to come to life through their excellent animation (seen at the start and end of the video).
A third version was created as a cover for the sheet music, which was made available for free via the Cornwall Hugs Grenfell website. This version needed to balance a consistency of branding with a desire to be economically and environmentally sensitive by giving thought to the amount of ink required to print the sheet music by those downloading it.
The song reached number 2 in the iTunes classical chart within two days and over 4000 people had signed up to sing their own version of the song by the end of the first week.
