The village of Appledore sits at the mouth of the River Torridge, where it flows out into the River Taw estuary. Close to Westward Ho!, Barnstaple, and Bideford, Appledore is popular for sailing as well as beach holidays.

This coastal print captures the end of a summer’s day as the sun sets out to sea and the tide returns to fill the estuary once more.
